Study in Canada for Free - York University VISTA Masters Scholarships 2019

York University is offering scholarships to the high achieving students to pursue master’s degree program. Scholarships are awarded to Canadian & international students.


The main objective of this scholarship to provide financial support to high-caliber scholars doing research that is aligned with the VISTA program under the supervision of a VISTA Core or Associate Member.

If English is not your first language, you need to meet the minimum English requirements for your chosen program.

• Entrance Requirement: Applicant must meet the following criteria:
1. Have applied, or be in the process of applying for full-time admission to an eligible graduate program at the Masters level at York University. You must be accepted as a new Masters student in the program to hold the scholarship;
2. Your application must be supported by a VISTA Core or Associate Member who would become your supervisor. If the primary supervisor is a VISTA Associate Member, a Core Member must also be identified to co-supervise;
3. You must conduct research in the vision sciences as aligned with the VISTA program.

  • Entrance Requirements: To become eligible for University Entrance Scholarships, applicants must be:
  • Entering their first-year of post-secondary study directly from high school. Concordia will also consider applicants who have:
  • Taken time off between high school and post-secondary studies.
  • Completed university-level credits while in high school.
  • Attended a non-accredited program at a post-secondary institution and earned 9 or less transfer credits.
  • Applicants who enrolled in a post-secondary institution after the completion of high school are not eligible.
  • Enrolled in a degree program in Arts, Management or Science.
  • Registered in a minimum of 80% of a full course load (12 credits) in each semester. Recipients whose registration drops below the required 80% minimum will immediately forfeit their scholarship.

How to Apply:  
There is no separate application required.  Concordia identifies eligible students through the admission process, choosing from those who submit their admission Application Forms and final (interim) high school transcripts before April 1st.  Eligible scholarship recipients are sent a preliminary scholarship offer notification letter.

The University of Saskatchewan is offering scholarships for international students to study undergraduate degree program. Recipients are eligible to receive the International Student Entrance Scholarship in addition to a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship.

Entrance Requirements: Applicant must meet the following criteria:

1). International students (non-Canadian citizens paying differential tuition) entering any direct-entry college at the U of S will be considered for an International Student Scholarship.

2). Recipients are eligible to receive the International Student Entrance Scholarship in addition to a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship.

3). Applicants with the first degree from a recognized university and academically talented, disadvantaged based on the criteria of disability, socioeconomic status, and are not engaged at work at all or have been engaged at work but couldn’t able to cover their study expenses will be eligible for the scholarship.

4). Have financial difficulty to finance graduate university education and,

5). Have leadership/community giveback experience or potential.


English Language Requirements: If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

How to Apply: By applying online for undergraduate admission, students will be eligible for consideration. The application deadline is February 15. Students must also submit the necessary supporting documents, pay the $90 CDN application fee and meet U of S admissions requirements (including English Language Proficiency) by March 1.
